Our board of trustees is our governing body, who collectively are responsible for:
• The overall control and strategic direction of the charity
• Ensuring financial stability
• Acting in the best interests of the charity and the residents
• Ensuring that the charity is fully compliant with its’ governing documents, with charity and company law as well as with any other relevant legislation.

The trustees meet regularly, usually every four to six weeks, to discuss the management of the Charity, its activities, and finances.
Two non-voting members attend the Trustees’ meeting – the Clerk to the Trustees and the Treasurer.

Geoff Eldridge (Chairperson)
Geoff is an Environmental Services Engineer and has been working in the building industry for 40 years. He is a chartered Engineer and has recently worked at a Management level for several Local Authorities including Surrey County Council, Hillingdon, and Brent. His experience included working on New Build housing and maintaining existing council stock. He has recently retired and living locally in Harrow he thought he would continue to put his skills to use for a worthwhile organisation that helps the homeless.

Sophie Schuil-Brewer
Sophie Schuil-Brewer is the Vicar of Holy Innocents Kingsbury and Area Dean for Brent. She has been Area Dean since January 2023 and took on the role of Vicar in Kingsbury in June 2021. Before coming to Kingsbury Sophie served as curate at St Martin’s Kensal Rise. In her pre-ordained career Sophie worked in financial services dealing with mis-selling of pensions and mortgage endowments and complaints. Sophie spent the last part of her career in financial services working for the Financial Services Compensation Scheme in operational management and claimant experience. Sophie’s previous voluntary roles have included Ealing Street Pastors (coordinator as well as Street Pastor), St Mungo’s and Hope for Southall Street Homeless (treasurer).

Angela Hopkins
Angela is an Anglian priest and a retired headteacher. She has lived in the Kingsbury area for most of her life. She has been a trustee of the charity since 2019.

Ann Little (Clerk to the Trustees)
Ann has been a Trustee for the charity for nearly three years and has enjoyed supporting the charity and its’ residents with updating policies, charity law, grants and the general day to day running. So much so, that she has now resigned as a Trustee and will be focussing her time on supporting the Board as Clerk to the Trustees.
Ann has worked at a senior level in the third sector for nearly 20 years. She worked as an interim fundraising consultant and worked with many of the large charities including Alzheimer’s Society, Diabetes, Barnardo’s, RSPCA, Parkinson’s, and Sense. She also worked for a homeless charity which ignited her interest in homelessness. Alms houses are very much part of the housing crisis solution.

Prakash Gururajan
Prakash is a strategy advisor in the Energy sector, with international experience specialising in General Management and Operations. He routinely advises a variety of organizations in the Energy value chain on growth, cost optimization and digital transformation. Prakash joined the charity as a Trustee in 2024 as a means to put his professional skills toward a social cause that delivers real benefit to those in need, as part of a personal commitment to purpose-driven leadership.

Snehal Bhudia
Snehal holds senior leadership positions in the Telecommunications sector, with particular expertise in product and marketing. As a resident of Kingsbury and given everything she’s been fortunate enough to learn throughout her career, she was keen to use her expertise in supporting the local community. Snehal joined the charity as a Trustee in early 2023.

Kellie Murphy
Kellie has been working as a leader in the social housing sector for over 20 years, mainly working with people who have experienced homelessness. Given safe and secure housing is so crucial for anyone to thrive, she was keen to use her skills and experience for a local organisation that provides almshouses for local residents. Having joined in October 24, she is also looking forward to getting to know and working with residents and fellow trustees.
