How many trustee board members are there?
The board of trustees consists of six people, when complete, which includes one Ex-officio Trustee, who is the Vicar of the Ecclesiastical Parish of Holy Innocents, Kingsbury. During any period when there is no vicar, the priest for the time-being in charge of the parish shall by virtue of their role, be the Ex-officio Trustee.
Who is the chair of the board of trustees?
The Chairperson is elected by the board of trustees at the first meeting of the year. The Chairperson is always eligible for re-election.
How is a trustee appointed?
We recruit through a variety of methods including advertising through specialised recruitment agencies, local newspapers, noticeboards, on our website and through our internal networks. Shortlisted candidates are invited to attend an interview with the chair of the trustees and other trustees. In common with most charities, our trustees are voluntary and unpaid.
New Trustees are appointed by the Trustees, by way of a show of hands. The Chairman has the casting vote.
How long is the term of office for a trustee?
Under the Kingsbury Charity charter, trustees are elected for a term of five years, but can be elected for further term(s).
